Black News & Views

When I talked to the National Association of Black Journalists about what projects they’d love to get off the ground this year – they told me about their vision for the NABJ Media Network. A platform for black journalists to share their work and coverage of black communities. A way to not only promote the work of black journalists, but also fund and elevate original coverage of underserved communities. Many newsrooms lack equitable coverage of black communities AND most US newsrooms are majority white. This platform seeks to address both of those deficits by creating a platform that elevates black journalists and their work, while also providing original coverage of black communities in the US. We hope to launch this platform in December of 2021. Stay tuned!
