Last night I was going to shoot a soccer game, but upon arriving at the field it started to rain. I ducked into the girls bathroom to hide from it for a while but after a good 20 minutes of non-stop downpour, lightning and thunder, I realized.. its just not going to stop. So I hightailed it to the concession stand where I hid for another 30 minutes waiting for it to lessen a bit. The sun was fighting with the clouds, turning the sky orange and pink and then finally, breaking through the clouds as the rain lessened just a tad.
I think this first one of girl’s soccer was one of my favorites in sports, the girl collided with the goalie, and then got up to score the one and only goal of the game.
The upper photo, although smaller was also one I liked. It was a quarter-finals game in the high school boy’s tournament, and the winner won 1-0 in overtime. It was a very close game, hence the opposing team’s excitement and the goalie’s dejection.

A shopping cart memorial to a local woman who died recently in town. Many people knew her, and always saw her pushing a shopping cart around town picking up objects. After taking this photo, I received an email thanking me for it by the woman shown, as she was a very close friend to the woman who passed on.
