I did a photo page this past week for the news on a local potter, Mark Horst. Here are a few of my favorites!
These are a few shots from a photo story I did on a fireworks tent here in hutchinson before the 4th of July. It was a fun project and a new experience. I’ve never live in a town that is so crazy excited for fireworks! Nor have I ever seen so many different kinds… if I had started buying them, I probably never would have stopped just from sheer curiosity.
This top shot was my favorite of the night, I actually have an even better one where you can see the base as he slides into it and the ball in the glove as the guy pulls his legs up to fly over the other guy’s head, but another player ran into the shot and his arm is obscuring part of it. I may post it later anyway just because I still like it. Just goes to show, some shots are made or broken by random chance.
NORTHAMPTON – Anthony Baye entered the courtroom through a side door, his hands cuffed in front of him. He gave a slight smile to members of his family sitting in the gallery, then sat down at the defendant’s table and didn’t look back. Baye’s arraignment Monday before Hampshire Superior Court Judge Judd Carhart lasted only a few minutes, and throughout it Baye uttered just four words. Asked by the clerk how he pleaded to two separate counts of murder, Baye answered “Not guilty” to each.
